- What is TotalAccess?
TotalAccess is the latest version of EarthLink's free Internet access software. Designed to be your launch pad to the Internet, TotalAccess includes everything you need to get online, including Web, mail, and FTP programs. It also features the Task Panel, a customizable toolbar that gives you central control over your Internet experience and lets you change your EarthLink account settings.

- I use Windows 2000/XP. Do I need administrator rights to install TotalAccess?
Yes, you need administrator rights to install the software and to set up locations and profiles. If you've installed software on your computer successfully in the past, chances are you already have administrator rights. For more information about administrator rights, consult your Windows help files.
- Is TotalAccess compatible with my existing mail program?
Yes. We've made it easy to integrate your existing mail program into the TotalAccess Task Panel.
- I installed TotalAccess and my favorites disappeared. How do I get them back?
First, make sure you are signed on to your profile in TotalAccess. If you are not signed on to your profile, you will see only the default set of favorites. You can determine which profile is currently active simply by hovering your mouse pointer over the EarthLink icon in your Windows system tray, next to your clock. A window will appear showing the currently active profile. After you've signed on with your profile, click the Web button on the TotalAccess Task Panel to open a browser window. Then click the Favorites menu near the top of the browser window. Your old bookmarks should appear in this menu. There is a second, separate set of favorites in TotalAccess that you get to by clicking the arrow next to the Web button on the Task Panel and choosing Favorites. These favorites are synchronized with the links stored in the Favorites section of your Personal Start PageSM.
