EarthLink Provides Technology Grant to Lincroft Elementary School

LYNDHURST, NJ — February 13, 2013 — EarthLink, Inc. (NASDAQ: ELNK) a leading IT and communications provider, today announced that it has provided a grant to Lincroft Elementary School in Lincroft, New Jersey which enabled them to purchase SMART board interactive whiteboard systems for two classrooms that lacked this important teaching tool. EarthLink provided this funding as part of its H.A.L.O. initiative (Helps, Acts, Links and Outreach) supporting technology in education.

“The entire Lincroft Elementary family is so thankful to EarthLink for their generous support in funding this upgraded technology for our classrooms,” said Steven Graziano, Principal of Lincroft Elementary School. “We want all of our students to have access to the best tools that help them learn, and commend EarthLink for partnering with us to make this a reality.”

SMART board systems enable classroom teachers to easily deliver engaging lessons using touchscreen, whiteboard technology that fosters a collaborative experience between educator and student. Using multitouch gestures, groups of students can interact with lesson content in new and exciting ways, which gives them a deeper, more interactive learning experience.

“Because of EarthLink’s technology focus as a company, it’s a natural fit for us to help public schools in our communities leverage technology to foster more effective teaching,” said Lisa Leary, EarthLink Regional Vice President of Sales for the Northeast. “To better prepare our children for the global community in which they live and will work, it’s vital that they receive a technology-rich education, and we are pleased to support the students at Lincroft Elementary School.”
